A program of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS), Joy of Medicine aspires to relieve physician pain and help physicians reclaim the joy of practicing medicine through education, advocacy and program services designed to nurture individual well-being and collegiality and to promote systems-wide changes.
The Advisory Group includes medical group leaders and physician wellness champions from each of the Sacramento region’s medical groups (including: Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Medical Group, Sutter Independent Physicians, UC Davis
Medical Group, Mercy Medical Group, Woodland Medical Group, and Hill Physicians) as well as physicians in private practice. The Advisory Group meets quarterly to share best practices and to advise SSVMS in the creation and sustainability of the Joy of Medicine program. To learn more about the advisory group, contact Lindsay Coate, Vice President, Strategic Operations at [email protected].
SSVMS’Joy of Medicine program is sustained by charitable donations from the medical community and select business partners. We are grateful to our partners for contributing to SSVMS’ goal to make wellness programs and services available to all physicians who choose to practice medicine in the Sacramento region.
